File attachments: Google Drive and Dropbox
Attach external files to Ithura issues, comments, pages, and boards, with live previews. Direction: attach and embed only. These integrations do not send notifications or sync data.
What it does
- Attach a Google Drive file or a Dropbox file to any issue, comment, page, or board.
- The attachment renders as a live preview or card.
- Each attachment is one record scoped to what it is attached to.
Connect (workspace admin)
Workspace settings -> Integrations. Each provider has its own card with a Connect button that runs the provider's OAuth flow and stores the install for your workspace.
Configure per project
None. Attachments are added inline wherever you edit content; there is no per-project binding.
Using it
Once connected, an attach control appears where you add content (issue, comment, page, board):
- Google Drive: opens the Google Picker; choose a file. Ithura only ever sees files you explicitly pick.
- Dropbox: search and pick a file.
The chosen item is saved as an attachment on that specific target.
Troubleshooting
- Picker will not open (Drive), or Connect fails: the integration may not be fully enabled for your instance yet.
- Attachment shows no preview: the file may be private to another account. Re-pick it while signed into the connected provider account.
